I have wide and international experience of teaching and research in higher education: I have worked in universities in England, Scotland, and Australia, held fellowships at the University of London and Seton Hall University (NJ), and have been published in US, Canada, UK, Italy. I held several academic positions, I was Senior Lecturer in Italian Studies (Monash, AU), I am currently the Treasurer of the Associaiton for the Study of Modern Italy (UK). My main areas of research and teaching are modern and contemporary Italian culture.
My interests include women’s history and writing, travel writing, food studies, cinema, fascism, colonial writings, feminist theories.
